Title e-Research: Gold Mine or Land Mine?
Author Nuffer, K. G.
Year 2001
Access date 29.05.2004
Abstract McKinsey & Co. is involved in a tremendous amount of research for knowledge building or for clients. With the explosion of interest in e-consumers, multi-channel marketing, etc. the issue of how best to leverage the internet for researching consumers has become unavoidable. We’ve learned some interesting "facts," but how do we make sure we can trust them? Are (some) e-panels reliable? When should you consider using them and when shouldn’t you? What should you know about a panel before you use it? This presentation discusses some of the areas of e-consumer marketing we have looked at and how we evaluate the current e-research capabilities used to investigate consumer behavior and motivation.
